Numbeo ranks Abu Dhabi as the world’s safest city for the sixth consecutive year

According to Numbeo, which is the world’s largest free database of user contributed data about cities and countries, Abu Dhabi has once again ranked the safest city in the world. This is the sixth consecutive time for the UAE capital, while other GCC cities, including Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai, made it into the top 15 this year (2023). There are a total of 416 cities in the Numbeo index survey. Abu Dhabi is considered the safest, as it has the least likelihood of theft and vandalism, and it is very safe to walk the streets during the night. At the same time, the UAE came out as the second safest country, following the lead of Qatar. In terms of quality of life overall, Abu Dhabi ranks a respectable 24th out of a possible 242, while the Emirates is 15th out of 84 countries.

Abu Dhabi is highly popular with tourists, not only because of its safety, but also due to its unique attractions. For instance, last week Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island witnessed the opening of Mission Ferrari, which is the world’s most immersive mega-coaster. The 5D attraction boasts a combination of special effects, making it the first roller coaster in the world to drop sideways. The setting is a top-secret global sky headquarters, where visitors have to safely deliver a Ferrari spy supercar to the subterranean level of the Ferrari Factory in Maranello Italy. Mission Ferrari has joined the other 44 exciting attractions in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which is nestled a few steps away from Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
