Saadiyat Island is a natural island with an area of 10 sq. mi, located 10 minutes from the center of Abu Dhabi and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The island is divided into 7 districts: Cultural District, Saadiyat Marina, Saadiyat Reserve, Saadiyat Beach, Saadiyat Promenade, Saadiyat Retreat and Saadiyat Lagoons. Considering the convenient location, a large number of residential, commercial and entertainment projects are planned on the island. The promising project is being developed by Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), while the plan for Saadiyat Island has been developed by the international landscape architecture firm EDAW and continues under an American multinational engineering firm AECOM’s management. According to the master plan, the island will have 29 hotels, developed infrastructure, including residential buildings for 150,000 people, marinas, golf courses, parks, as well as various shopping centers and attractions.
Transport communication has been established through the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan highway, passing through the residential areas of the city. You can get to Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi via the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge consisting of 10 traffic lanes, which is 4,773 feet long, which connects the island to the mainland.
In the first quarter of 2021, Abu Dhabi reached a record USD 3,1 billion in real estate transactions. Saadiyat Island is the second most popular area in the real estate market of Abu Dhabi, which will be home to approximately 145,000 residents. Saadiyat Island has many cultural and commercial attractions such as museums, shopping malls, luxury hotels (such as Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, Saadiyat Rotana Resort). Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is the region’s first oceanfront 18-hole golf course designed by Gary Player. The total length of the field starts at 15,870 ft and can go up to 23,352 ft. The ticket price ranges from USD 95 to USD 102, depending on the day of the week, and children from 0-6 years old are free.
The center of art, cultural activities and social events, Manarat Al-Saadiyat (place of enlightenment) is located in the Saadiyat Cultural District. MAS is a community platform where visitors become part of a cultural experience that includes a community program such as local and global exhibitions, workshops, art fairs, special events, panel discussions and educational initiatives.

Next to the MAS is the UAE Pavilion, designed by British architect Norman Foster. It is the most iconic building in the city, reminiscent of the sand dunes in the desert. It was presented at the 2010 Shanghai World’s Fair and then transported back to Abu Dhabi and rebuilt on Saadiyat Island.
Not far from Saadiyat Island, on neighboring Yas Island, there is the world’s largest theme park, Ferrari World, with an area of 925,696 ft². The park is home to the world’s fastest attraction Formula Rossa, with a top speed of 149 mph and acceleration to it in just 4,9 seconds. An adult ticket costs USD 62 and a child ticket costs USD 45.
