Celebrations for UAE National Day of 2022

The 51st UAE National Day will be celebrated in the county to mark the spirit of the union of the Emirates since 1971. It will be the first for the nation’s president Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as leader, after he was elected in May.

The holiday’s programme includes airshows, fireworks and concerts. The traditional National Day show will be broadcast on all local TV channels and online on December 2. Live events will also be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from December 3 to 11.

You can buy tickets for the nine official public shows, which are available for purchase from AED 200 (USD 54) on the official National Day website. The celebratory shows start at 6PM every day during the holidays. Attendance of the shows for children aged three and below is free of charge.

Earlier last week, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) stated that the holiday ceremony this year will continue the legacy of bringing the nation and people together in a moment of unity and celebration of the UAE’s modern-day pioneers and the country’s collective future creators.

The UAE also announces the National Day fireworks 2022 in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, which will take place during the public holidays on December 2 and 3. The fireworks will be distinguished by a blend of red, green, black and white in order to mark the occasion with the national colours.

A firework display in celebration of UAE’s 51st National Day in the country’s capital was announced to take place on Al Maryah Island. The island’s promenade features a 3.4mi waterfront with cafes and restaurants. The wonderful area with a focus on state-of-the-art events, including National Day, Winter Wonderland and Ripe Market, has contributed to positioning the country as a world-class destination for the entire community.
