April 20 to 23 has been officially declared as day-offs in the UAE, so that everyone can celebrate one of the major national holidays, Eid Al-Fitr. The full moon, signalling the end of fasting and the Holy month of Ramadan, traditionally marks the beginning of great festivities in Abu Dhabi.

During the days of Eid Al-Fitr, there are usually many events in the capital, including exhibitions dedicated to the history of the holiday and associated traditions, special brunches, firework displays, lighting shows and much more. Visitors of the capital will be greeted by a variety of entertainment, attractions and pavilions offering food and drinks.

A fantastic Eid celebration will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). During the event, participants can learn about the holiday, enjoy the cuisine and even try henna painting.

Throughout the weekend, unique firework shows will be held all over the capital as well. On April 21, one can admire the show in the sky above the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium and the Abu Dhabi Corniche. On April 22–24, fireworks will be displayed over Yas Bay at 9 pm.

Additionally, guests and residents of the capital will be able to enjoy musical performances by Abdul Majeed Abdullah at the Etihad Arena on April 23, while Mohamed Ramadan will perform at Yas Links Abu Dhabi on the second day of the celebration. Ticket prices start at AED 435 (USD 118) and AED 220 (USD 60), respectively.
