Capital Gate is a unique multifunctional tower located next to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre in the Capital Centre district. The futuristic skyscraper has a height of 160 m, which makes it the tallest building in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the “world’s most sloping man-made building.”
The developer, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), used high-quality materials and the latest technology to construct the tower. The building features special glass to block the sun’s rays, which reduces energy costs for air conditioning, and its facade features a wavy surface that prevents the building from heating up. The southern side of the tower has a steel canopy, which reduces the flow of solar heat by 30%.
The complex includes retail stores, residences, offices, and the Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel.
