Maryah Tower

Maryah Tower is a 24-storey, 120 metres tall office building on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. The project was developed for Al Hilal Bank and was completed in 2015. The architects from Goettsch Partners (GP) had the task of designing a building for a large, progressive financial institution, which resulted in a unique tower with a modern style.

The building sits on a six-level podium, and a glass vestibule features retail outlets. The tower consists of three cubes made out of glass and metal, which take the shape of sliding blocks that are decorated with vertical glass protrusions. The corner spaces are accented with an orange glass facade. The building’s design elements create a lighting effect at night, and interior spaces benefit from the absence of columns.

Maryah Tower’s commercial real estate meets the international class A office standard. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows with glazing enhance access to natural light while offering beautiful views of the city. Office and retail units cover an area of 49,110 sq. m. Along the western facade, there is a recreation area for tenants and office visitors, which includes a park, restaurant, and fountain. There is also onsite parking available for 1,000 vehicles.

The average rental rate for an office, with a size of 46 sq. m (500 sq. ft), is AED 200,000 (USD 54,450), per year.

Maryah Tower was built for international companies looking to open branches and rent office spaces. Its innovative architecture was designed to attract progressive investors. It is located in a vibrant business district with easy access to restaurants and facilities. As a result, office space is in high demand. The building is known for being the home of the famous Islamic bank Al Hilal Bank, which is appealing to customers and business partners.
