The UAE is launching a wind energy programme that will deliver electricity to more than 23K homes every year. The project will also contribute to achieving zero hazardous emissions by 2050, making the country an even more attractive destination to live in.
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company — Masdar is in charge of the programme that will have a capacity of 103,5 MW. It will be implemented in four areas across the UAE, the first three of which are located in Abu Dhabi: Sir Bani Yas Island, Delma Island, Al Sila, and Al Halah in Fujairah.

Today, the UAE is recognised as the energy leader in the region and is driving projects in the power sector. Thanks to the country’s initiatives the volume of harmful emissions is progressively being reduced, tens of thousands of buildings are supplied with sustainable energy and more job opportunities are being created. It is planned that the UAE aims to reach zero emissions by 2050.
