By the end of the year, Abu Dhabi International Airport is set to receive 22M passengers. Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, announced the figure during the grand opening of Terminal A.
According to preliminary forecasts, tourist demand to come to Abu Dhabi is expected to surge in winter, driven by events like Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi and COP28. In December, the Emirates’ capital anticipates to welcome around 2.29M travellers, with Abu Dhabi International Airport prepared to handle a whopping 410 flights daily.

To streamline the security screening and boarding process, biometric technologies have been implemented at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Additionally, numerous shops, cafes, restaurants, and relaxation areas have enhanced the overall comfort of passenger journeys to the UAE capital from the very beginning right up to the end.
